I can't wait for this #NFL offseason to end. I am tired of hearing about what drugs Aaron Rodgers is doing, or what kind of darkness retreat he is trying. I don't want to hear about teams that may be interested or may not be interested in Lamar Jackson, and the excuses of why they don't want to throw the bag at him. At least Daniel Jones and Derek Carr got paid.
Lets break this down right quick....
#AaronRodgers should not go to the Jets if he wants to win a championship. I do not think he is committed to winning and I imagine what the Jets will have to give up to get him for a season or two will hurt the franchise in the coming years. Can he just stop going on the Pat McAfee show and pick a fucking team already? Rodgers will stay in Green Bay because he loves having the attention on him, doesn't want to be like Brett Farve, and become a pervert with the New York Jets.
#LamarJackson I believe is getting black balled by the NFL owners because they are probably collectively holding out to prevent any other future Quarterbacks from getting a fully guaranteed contract and it should not become a trend. The Ravens should just pay this guy, Lamar should understand he's not getting a fully guaranteed contract and keep it moving. The Jets missed out on Carr, theyre going to miss out on Rodgers, they should use whatever package they need to go get Jackson and extend him immediately. He is the best option for them and their future with their core group of talent. People forget he pooped his pants against the browns a few years ago.
Giants gave Daniel Jones a 4 year $160 million contract extension....and franchise tagged RB Saquon Barkley. Jones played well enough last season to ask for premium QB money as he turned the season around, made the playoffs and balled out against the Minnesota Vikings for a playoff win. Is Jones worth this deal? That is TBD as we watch him these next few seasons. I am just going to leave some statistics below....am I saying Jones doesn't deserving of the contract? Am I saying Baker Mayfield deserves $40/year? No I am just providing stats.
Derek Carr to the Saints...#WhoCares. Carr is as boring as vanilla yogurt, or a squirt bottle of mayonnaise. New Orleans stinks, Michael Thomas will have some weird injury that keeps him out all season.
