Well, I had to finally pick myself off the couch and walk 7 steps into the bed and collect my thoughts about this game.
I have been giddy all week waiting to finally watch the Yankees back in the fall classic. I even played bad at golf with Uncle Tim because all I was focused on was the game tonight.
This was not what I was expecting to see. Gerrit Cole was a fucking work horse tonight. Couldn’t have asked for a better start. This game falls on Soto twice defensively, partially on gleyber for not being able to scoop that throw and allowing Ohtani to advance to third. Also still don’t understand why Rizzo wasn’t on the mound backing up the throw and no one being able to be there and letting the runner advance.
Judge is clearly not seeing the ball well. Back to chasing off speed and sliders down and away. Late on fastballs down the middle. Big G, Giancarlo continues to mash.
Didn’t love the move of Nestor coming in. Got ohtani on one pitch. Dugie made an unreal catch and it’s a wack rule runners advance because he flipped into the seats. If that’s the case gleyber should’ve had a homer because that loser dodger fan brought a globe to the game and reached over the fence.
Freddie freeman fucking pumped that fastBall down the middle and now the Yankees need to regroup and split in LA.
I AM SAD.
