There is nothing that reminds me of the fall season more than the return of the "Mcrib". It returns to the menu on Halloween and will only be around until November 20th. I personally believe this is just a marketing play by the Clown, Ronald. However, I know most people I speak to have never had the Mcrib, or just think its disgusting.
If you go to McDonald's and order a glorified middle school rib sandwich and expect some fine dining you're at the wrong place. With that being said....the Mcrib is a delicacy. Sweet and savory barbecue sauce, smothered across a riblet patty, topped with pickles and onions in between a nice warm roll.
I feel like they have been trying to "cancel" the Mcrib for years. They go back and fourth taking it off the menu for extended period of times, only to bring it back a few years later. I imagine this is just their way to market this tasty treat. And in this economy getting a Mcrib combo for about $6 is a steal. Whether this is truly the end of the Mcrib or not, I know you can find me at the McDonalds drive thru at 11am once the menu switches to lunch and making sure I secure two sandwiches and go home and eat them in peace and quiet in my mothers basement.
