Big Neef, checking back in with a quick 49ers recap, following an ugly loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

You cannot expect to win in the national football league with 4 turnovers (compared to 0 by your opponent) and a punt return touchdown.

That’s it. Simple and plain.

With that said, here’s my five takeaways from Sunday’s game:

  1. The Jaguars defense was flying around. Punching at the ball on nearly every play. They made life hard for Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy and even Trent Williams.

  2. Brock looked rusty to no surprise. He’s missed two games and it looked like it. At times he looked hesitant to run possibly still feeling some pain with the toe injury and missed a few throws that he normal make.

  3. To no surprise, the San Fran defense missed Nick Bosa. Trevor Lawrence wasn’t under enough pressure today. As my dad would say “his jersey wasn’t dirty enough”. Bosa not only gets after the QB but he’s stout in the run as well. The Jags ran for 151 yards, lead by Travis Etienne 124 yards and 1 TD.

  4. Lastly, call me a homer, but the Niners are a good team. They have a few things to clean up but most importantly, they have to get healthy. Some mistakes were made by guys who normally won’t play as much if the starters were back.

Rest up boys and get ready for Thursday Night’s matchup with the Rams. That’s a big one.
