New Year, New Gear For PGA Tour Pro, Max Homa

With the 2025 PGA Tour season ready to kick off this weekend in Hawaii, former Titleist and Footjob ambassador, Max Homa, will be rocking some new digs and clubs on the course this upcoming season.

Going into the 2024 season, Homa had high expectations, especially after having one of the better performances from the American side in the 2023 Ryder Cup. Ended up in his first winless season on Tour since 2020, in addition to missing to missing out on the Tour Championship.

With the equipment change, the average golfer would assume that PGA tour players can use any brand of equipment and be competitive, however Homa was quoted saying the following to describe his "weird" 2024 season.

“I drove it poorly for the first time, so I just thought it wasn’t necessarily the golf club that makes the ball go straight,” Homa told Golf Digest. “My caddie [Joe Greiner] said it proves the golf club doesn’t make the ball go straighter every time. You make it go straight. Go find something that can do that. Go through the business process and see what’s what. I think that gave me the confidence to go shop around. So when the time came for the opportunity to look around, I did. It’s been a weird year. Making golf fun can be tricky, and sometimes change is fun."

We won't be seeing Homa dripped out in the Sunday orange like Rickie Fowler, or rocking the vibrant colors Cobra Puma has to offer, due to his apparel deal with Lululemon.

Max defines his style as subtle and sharp, leaning into classic styles and colorways that still give him a bit of edge. lululemon’s upcoming golf product assortment in 2025 builds on closet essentials so that you look and feel good on and off the course. “I subscribe to the old saying look good, feel good, play good. When I feel good, it definitely influences how I play,” he said. Also Deion Sanders said that once.

It will be interesting to see how Max starts off the season with new club and apparel this weekend in Hawaii, as a friend of the program I will have to add him to my card to win.
