Nets Double, Sixers Triple!

Nets coach, Jacque Vaughn opted to double team Joel Embiid nearly the entire game. Those lackadaisical attempts and turnover after turnover led to an avalanche of open three points from Philadelphia.

The Sixers led the league in 3 pointer made percentage. They kicked the NBA playoffs off with a franchise high 21 made triples.

The Sixers took better care of the ball then The Nets, having 32 assists and 8 turnovers. Compared to Brooklyn’s 23 assists and 19 giveaways.

Despite being doubled teamed most of the game, the likely MVP, Joel Embiid finished with 26 points. Harden was really good with 23 and 13 assist. And Philly forward, Tobias Harris was impressive as well, pouring in 21 of his own.

Mikal Bridges, Philly native and former draft pick, started the game red hot with 23 points in the first half for Brooklyn, but was quiet in the second half, with just 7 points on 3 shots. Yes 3 shots. Shoutout to my boy, Dave with the hard facts!

Game 2 Monday Night.

“Game 2 will be the hardest game of the series,” James Harden.
