Mike Trout, Face Of The MLB Has Torn His Meniscus

In what has already been a hall of fame career, as the face of not only the Angels, but the MLB, and never won a playoff series, will be shut down for an extended period of time due to a torn meniscus.

Mike Trout was off to another MVP start this season, but that campaign is now on hold indefinitely. The Los Angeles Angels star needs surgery on his knee, according to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez. It's unclear how much time Trout needs to miss, but the injury is reportedly not expected to be season-ending.

Trout, 32, leads the majors with 10 home runs and is having a strong bounce back season after being limited to 82 games by a broken hamate last year. More to report later, but this is a bad blow for one of the most exciting players in today's MLB, especially with him just cranking solo shots since no one else provides any offensive production for the Angels.
