The Jimmy Butler Saga has finally ended, and he is headed to The Bay, to join Steph Curry in hopes to make a run at an NBA Championship.

"The Miami Heat are finalizing a deal to send Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors for Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson and a protected first-round pick, sources tell ESPN."

Can't wait to see how Butler and Draymond Green get along at practice, two level headed NBA players who totally haven't tried to fight teammates before.

Terrible week to be Dennis Schroder btw, already traded from Miami to the Utah Jazz lmao.

Miami suspended Himmy Butler three times this season, twice for conduct detrimental to the team and once after he missed a team flight. His most recent suspension began on Jan. 27 after he left shootaround following news that he would be coming off the bench for Miami's next game. The Heat announced that the indefinite suspension would last at least five games, which took things up to Thursday's deadline.

This will be Butler's fifth NBA team, and he still has yet to leave one cleanly, though it's not like he hasn't been vindicated with time. He was traded from the Chicago Bulls after clashing with head coach Fred Hoiberg and questioning his teammates' motivation. He was traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves after similar clashes with Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. He jumped to the Miami Heat after the Philadelphia 76ers chose Tobias Harris over him.

As the season progressed, it became clearer and clearer that the Warriors needed a trade of this magnitude. While they started the season 12-3, they have been in decline ever since. The stalled development of their young players, the absence of veterans from last season and the ineffective acquisition of Dennis Schroder (acquired from the Nets in December) made it clear that the Warriors needed a serious talent injection if they hoped to give Curry and Green another shot at a title. Now, in Butler, they've landed the most impactful veteran they've added since Durant in 2016.

The contract extension is kind of wild, and I wonder how that came about so quickly after the trade was announced. Makes you think.....
