I love this Marseille vs Frankfurt Champions League Match Parlay, and here's why

  • Over 2.5 Goals

Nothing, and I mean nothing gets the blood pumping more that hearing the champions league anthem blasting from the break room tv while you are sitting in the cube crushing vlookups. And boy oh boy do we have an afternoon match that is crucial for two teams: Marsielle and Frankfurt. Now these are two clubs that aren't well know to the casual american footy fan but if you like money, overs and high stakes then this is the game for you.

Here's the deal...Tottenham play Sporting and Marseille play Frankfurt. All four teams still have the chance to advance into the round of 16, but Frankfurt is the team that will need 3 points. A loss will surely end their European dreams.

Therefore, Frankfurt are going to really push for a positive result, which is sure to open up the game for both teams to go forward. Even though Frankfurt have mounting injuries/suspensions in the defense, the club comes into this match riding a 3 game win streak in all competitions. This stretch has seen the team score 10 goals, lead by Jesper Lindstrom who has 3 goals in the last 4 games, and concede 2. The home crowd at Deutsche Bank Park are for sure going to create a hostile environment for Marsielle...and oh yeah Frankfurt defeated Marsielle already at the Stade Velodrome in September. Its also worth mentioning that Marsielle have lost 3 of their last 4 League 1 matches. Marsielle did have a few big names like Payet and Under start on the bench in their loss against Lens so they can have the rest to play a full 90. However, the recent form of Frankfurt, the leadership of Mario Gotze and Jesper Lindstrom and an energized crowd will be too much for a struggling Marseille side....look for Frankfurt to win 2-1 in an exciting up and down match.

Germany team total Over 1.5 goals (-125): So it's going to sound a bit weird to say this, but this is a bit of a contrarian play given how bad Hungary and Scotland were in the group stage. Most are sa
