HBO Hard Knocks Episode Two Takeaways

Tonight episode two of the new season of HBO’s hit series aired.

Here are a few takeaways from tonight’s episode:

The Jets defense, specifically their defensive line will be top 5 in the league. This episode was the Quinnen Williams show. We watched big number 95 wreck practice and then the joint practice against Carolina.  At one point he claimed to have 11 sacks against the Panthers.

Rodgers is cool AF. The players and coaches around the league simply love the guy. He’s for sure weird but funny weird. Like why is he picking up blades of grass.

The number one overall pick in this years draft, Bryce Young is ummm small! Borderline frail. He’s dealt with his size being a question mark in college but somehow he looks even smaller in the pros. It’s like he strunk. I know you’re thinking, of course he looks smaller against professional players and grown men. Dog, Rodgers was towering over him. As a person who is predicting Carolina edge out the Saints to win the NFC South, I have some concerns about him making it through the full season.

Zack Wilson may have a future if he can stay behind Rodgers and make the most of his playing time. He seems like a cool kid. Possibly humbled after his brutal season last year.

We got a lot more of Coach Saleh which is cool but not enough of The Sauce man. Don’t let it happen again HBO.

Lastly, The Jets pulled out the mindreader/mentalist, Oz Pearlman to kick off the episode. He put on a show as usual. I wonder how many mindreader’s use their powers for bad. Like predicting lottery numbers or reading women’s DM’s. Check out this clip below:
