Vin Diesel has created the greatest movie franchise in my opinion over the last two decades, as his character Dominic Torreto and gang of street racing hoodlums enter their 10th film. Fast X may be the final story of the franchise but it won't be done with just one movie. The film is going to be split into two parts. Part of the reason why Fast 10 has to be broken into two different movies is because there's so much ground to cover. There are so many places and so many locations in the world that we have to visit," Vin Diesel said during a press event for F9. As if going to space in F9 wasn't enough.
The first part of Fast X is currently scheduled to be released on May 19, 2023. The previous movie, F9, had one of the most successful theatrical runs of the pandemic period. They only get faster, and more FURIOUS! If you haven't watch it yet, here is the almost 4 minute trailer for the movie.

As if these movies didn't already have a great cast, in which we have seen multiple big name celebrities added to the cast throughout the franchise, this trailer shows they will be adding Jason Momoa, Academy Award winners Rita Moreno & Brie Larson, as well as bringing back John Cena who was the main villain in F9. While the final cast list for the movie hasn't been confirmed yet, fans can expect most of the principal cast to return. That includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Jason Statham, Lucas Black, Bow Wow, Jason Tobin, and Anna Sawai. Don Omar and Tego Calderon could also return as Rico Santos and Tego Leon. Like the title of the blog, they're family!

Cardi B has also been confirmed to be returning for the final chapter, whether she will be in Fast X or part 2 hasn't been confirmed yet. Rumors have also been swirling about a potential return of Gal Gadot's character, and potentially Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (doubtful, but Vin Diesel has been actively trying to convince him to return).
Universal Studios released the official synopsis of the Fast X plot:
The end of the road begins. Fast X, the tenth film in the Fast & Furious Saga, launches the final chapters of one of cinema’s most storied and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast and characters as when it began. Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever. In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son, Dante (Aquaman’s Jason Momoa), witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price. Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry, Black-ish) is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance.
My takeaway from the trailer is that Dante intends to hit Dom where it hurts the most, his heart, as he teams up with Cipher (Charlize Theron) to kidnap Toretto’s young son, Brian Marcos (Leo Abelo Perry). Dom will need to rely on his crew one more time to save his family that he has spent the last two decades defending. The final scene of F9 showed Deckard Shaw meeting Han again, being surprised to find him alive. It's possible that the upcoming film will see Shaw and his family becoming enemies of Dom's crew again
I believe the final installments of these two movies will introduce the younger generation of character, which would be Torreto's and Brian O'Connors kids (RIP Paul Walker). A passing of the torch if you will of street racers turned international criminals, but no are back to just street racing and living their life a quarter mile at a time.
Whoever they're going up against, fans can expect the familia to take on yet another high-stakes mission with ridiculous levels of action. There's literally no limit to where this story could take us so we're just going to have to strap in and enjoy the ride. #FasterAndMoreFurious
