Don't Lose A Bet If You Think Daniel Jones Is Still Better Than Baker Mayfield

I would give a quick back story to this blog, as it is our first guest blog on the site. My close personal friend Tyler Rieth, unfortunately lost a bet to me. The was if he beat me in our fantasy hockey match up, I would have to post a blog highlighting David Wright's career accomplishments, and if I won, Tyler would have to finally admit he was wrong for ever saying Daniel Jones was a better quarterback than Baker Mayfield. Luckily for team "I hope everyone has fun", we got a guest blog this week.

"Every so often even the best of the best football guys get one wrong, and that's where I stand today. I, Tyler J Rieth, hereby proclaim Baker Reagan Mayfield to be a better quarterback than Daniel Stephan Jones III. It comes with a heavy heart after losing a bet to Young Horn that I have to admit this. Now don't get me wrong I still stand behind the fact that the Giants did everything in their power to stunt the growth and progress of Jones, but unfortunately the ball doesn't lie.

While Jones has been released and currently servicing as a third string/practice squad QB for the Minnesota Vikings, Baker has the Bucs on the outskirts of the playoffs with a very real shot at making it. Mayfield has revitalized his once disappointing career over the past few years which many attribute to a 2 minute drill back with Sean McVay and the Rams at the end of the 2022 season.

He then signed a contract with the Bucs that saw him throw for 4000 yards and 28 touchdowns, all while Jones was recovering from another injury and leading the Giants to one of the worst seasons in franchise history, in their centennial season to boot. Will Daniel Jones be given a second chance in the league to start, that remains to be seen. But with my tail tucked between my legs I am publicly proclaiming Baker QB1 of this matchup. And now back to YH."

Despite some factual inaccuracies from Tyler which were more opinion based, it is appreciated nonetheless that he took the time to admit who QB1 really is. Go Bucs
