Did Maxx Crosby Show Up to His Physical in a Wheelchair? Because This Trade Collapse Makes Zero Sense

The NFL offseason already felt chaotic after the first two days of free agency.
Then the Maxx Crosby situation somehow took it to another level.
Just a couple days ago the Las Vegas Raiders agreed to trade Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for two first-round picks, one in 2026 and one in 2027. It was a blockbuster deal that instantly changed the AFC landscape.
And now?
The Ravens have completely backed out of the trade.
Yes, seriously.
After Crosby arrived in Baltimore and underwent a physical, the Ravens reportedly voided the deal due to medical concerns tied to a knee injury.
Which immediately raises the question everyone on the internet is asking:
Did Maxx Crosby show up to the physical in a wheelchair?
Was he doing cocaine in the facility while they were running the tests?
Did someone accidentally send them the MRI of a 75-year-old?
Because the timing of this is absolutely insane.

The Deal That Was Supposed to Change the AFC
The original trade was massive.
The Ravens were sending two first-round picks to Las Vegas for Crosby, one of the best edge rushers in football.
And if you watch the Ravens at all, you know why they wanted him.
Their pass rush last year was brutal. Baltimore finished the season with one of the lowest sack totals in franchise history, and adding Crosby was supposed to fix that overnight.
Instead of entering the season with:
• Maxx Crosby
• Roquan Smith
• Kyle Hamilton
• Marlon Humphrey
…the Ravens suddenly have none of that upgrade.
The Meniscus Injury Is the Real Reason
Before the conspiracy theories get too wild, the real issue appears to be Crosby’s knee.
He underwent surgery in January to repair a torn meniscus, which he had been playing through late in the season before the Raiders shut him down.
Trades in the NFL are contingent on players passing a physical, and apparently Baltimore’s doctors saw something they didn’t like.
That’s enough to void the entire deal.
Still, the optics are ridiculous.
This wasn’t a small free-agent signing.
This was a two first-round pick trade involving one of the best defensive players in the league.
And it fell apart after the player literally showed up to the building.
The Raiders Might Be the Ones Who Got Screwed
The part that makes this situation so messy is the timing.
The Raiders had already started reshaping their roster under the assumption Crosby was gone.
They spent aggressively the first few days of free agency, bringing in multiple defensive players and committing serious money across the roster.
So now Las Vegas is sitting there like:
“Wait… he’s back?”
You can’t exactly undo the moves you already made.
And if the Raiders were planning their offseason around the idea that two first-round picks were coming back, the entire blueprint suddenly changes.
The Ravens Aren’t Exactly Clean Either
Baltimore isn’t escaping this without damage either.
They essentially told the rest of the league:
“We’re getting Maxx Crosby.”
That meant they weren’t pursuing other pass rushers.
They weren’t making alternate moves.
They were building their offseason around the idea that they had just acquired a five-time Pro Bowl edge rusher.
Now that move disappears overnight.
And free agency doesn’t stop and wait for you to fix your mistakes.
Now the Entire NFL Is Watching
The craziest part?
Crosby is suddenly one of the most interesting players in the league again.
Because if Baltimore backed out due to medical concerns, two things are possible:
The Raiders keep him and pretend none of this happened.
Another team tries to trade for him.
And if you’re a contender looking for a pass rush — think teams like Dallas, Detroit, or even Kansas City — you’re probably making a phone call.
The NFL Offseason Remains Completely Unhinged
Free agency has been open for barely two days and we’ve already seen:
• massive contracts
• stars switching teams
• blockbuster trades
…and now a two first-round pick trade collapse after a physical.
The league never fails to find new ways to surprise people.
But one thing is certain.
Somewhere inside a front office in Las Vegas tonight, someone is staring at a whiteboard and wondering:
“How the hell did we get here?”
Now I will patiently wait for Stavvy to post one of his famous Baltimore Ravens recap videos.
