So it's going to sound a bit weird to say this, but this is a bit of a contrarian play given how bad Hungary and Scotland were in the group stage. Most are saying Germany have not yet played anyone worth nothing, and Switzerland laid down the blueprint on how to trouble them. Well, I don't buy into that narrative. This German side did what it needed to do to start the tournament and scoring eight goals in three games is solid production. They'll have the lion's share of the possession with the crowd support behind them, and given what we saw from Denmark, they should have no issues netting twice. If there are any questions to be asked about the group stage, it should be with Denmark as they benefitted greatly from playing in a low-scoring group void of any real attacking threat. I expect Germany to net at least two in a straightforward win.
