Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft is where rosters are truly built — and this year, it was loaded with value, aggressive trades, and teams doubling down on identities established in Round 1. Across Rounds 2 and 3, franchises attacked weaknesses, found potential starters, and in some cases flat-out stole talent that slid out of Thursday night. Teams leaned heavily into edge rushers, corners, offensive linemen and explosive skill players, emphasizing versatility and scheme fit throughout the board.

Below is a full team-by-team breakdown — 32 teams, 32 takeaways — covering how each franchise handled Day 2.

Arizona Cardinals — Grade: B+

Arizona added depth and explosiveness after going RB in Round 1. Their Day 2 approach focused on balance, bringing in defenders and complementary offensive pieces to support their new identity. Not flashy, but smart roster building.

Atlanta Falcons — Grade: B

Atlanta prioritized skill positions, grabbing a playmaker who can contribute early. Their draft continues to lean toward speed and offensive upside, but questions remain about the trenches.

Baltimore Ravens — Grade: A-

Baltimore did what Baltimore always does — stack physical, high-IQ players. Adding another weapon and depth in the trenches gives them immediate contributors and long-term stability.

Buffalo Bills — Grade: A

Buffalo crushed Day 2. Landing EDGE T.J. Parker early and then trading around to add a potential starting corner in Davison Igbinosun shows elite roster management and defensive emphasis.

Carolina Panthers — Grade: A-

Carolina stayed disciplined. Adding offensive line help and a wide receiver gives their young QB real support. This was a “protect and develop” draft approach.

Chicago Bears — Grade: B+

Chicago leaned into versatility, adding weapons and depth across the board. Their offense continues to gain flexibility, though fans may have wanted more line help.

Cincinnati Bengals — Grade: B

Cincy addressed defense, particularly in the secondary. It wasn’t flashy, but it fills real needs — especially important in a loaded AFC.

Cleveland Browns — Grade: A-

Cleveland added a dynamic wide receiver and continued building out the offense after Round 1. Their Day 2 shows a clear plan: surround their QB with playmakers and protection.

Dallas Cowboys — Grade: A-

Dallas stayed aggressive, adding pass rush and defensive pieces even after a strong Round 1. They’re clearly building a defense that can take over games.

Denver Broncos — Grade: B-

Denver’s Day 2 was quieter due to trades and limited capital, even moving off a key pick. Their impact will depend more on later rounds after trading down.

Detroit Lions — Grade: B+

Detroit continues to build through the trenches. Their picks may not trend on social media, but they fit exactly how the Lions want to play.

Green Bay Packers — Grade: B+

Green Bay added defensive front help and continued their long-term development model. Not splashy, but very “Packers.” Solid CB help for the Packers from South Carolina.

Houston Texans — Grade: A

Houston added interior defensive strength and protection pieces, continuing to build around their young core. They were aggressive and efficient with trades.

Indianapolis Colts — Grade: B

Indy focused on defense and secondary help. It’s a solid approach, though not a major needle-mover.

Jacksonville Jaguars — Grade: B+

Jacksonville added defensive line help, prioritizing physicality. It fits their need to compete in a tough AFC.

Kansas City Chiefs — Grade: A-

The Chiefs somehow kept winning. Adding depth and developmental talent after a strong Round 1 shows why they stay contenders every year.

Las Vegas Raiders — Grade: B+

After grabbing their QB in Round 1, Vegas spent Day 2 building around him — adding weapons and protection. Exactly what they needed.

Los Angeles Chargers — Grade: B+

The Chargers doubled down on defense, adding edge and versatility. They’re clearly focused on fixing that side of the ball.

Los Angeles Rams — Grade: B

After a surprising Round 1 QB pick, the Rams used Day 2 to support that decision with offensive depth and protection.

Miami Dolphins — Grade: B+

Miami added speed and depth at skill positions, continuing their offensive identity while also plugging defensive holes.

Minnesota Vikings — Grade: C+

Minnesota added defensive line pieces, but some felt like reaches. The fit is there — the value is questionable.

New England Patriots — Grade: B

The Pats stayed true to form: trenches and discipline. It’s not exciting, but it’s consistent with their long-term philosophy.

New Orleans Saints — Grade: B

The Saints added skill players and depth. It’s a steady draft, but nothing that screams franchise-changing.

New York Giants — Grade: A-

The Giants traded back into Round 3 to grab WR Malachi Fields, a big-bodied target with real upside — a move that fits perfectly with their offensive rebuild.

New York Jets — Grade: B+

After an aggressive Round 1, the Jets used Day 2 to add depth and complement their earlier picks. Smart, controlled follow-up.

Philadelphia Eagles — Grade: A-

Philly added more defensive talent and continued to dominate the trenches. This team never stops building.

Pittsburgh Steelers — Grade: B+

Pittsburgh made one of the more interesting picks with QB Drew Allar in Round 3 — a developmental swing with real upside. Drew Allar's "DM" game goes stupid.

San Francisco 49ers — Grade: A-

San Francisco found value, including a wide receiver and defensive help. As always, they maximize draft capital.

Seattle Seahawks — Grade: B+

Seattle added secondary help and continued building a young defense, including safety and corner upgrades through trades.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Grade: B+

Tampa added linebacker Josiah Trotter and WR Ted Hurst, addressing both defense and offensive weapons while also gaining extra draft capital.

Tennessee Titans — Grade: B+

Tennessee added defensive talent and continued reshaping their roster after a busy Round 1.

Washington Commanders — Grade: B+

Washington continued their defensive rebuild, adding another weapon on offense as well to balance the roster.

What It All Means Heading Into Day 3

Day 2 confirmed a few things: teams are prioritizing versatility, speed, and trench depth more than ever. The middle rounds are where contenders separate themselves — and teams like the Bills, Texans, Eagles, and Giants clearly understand that.

Heading into Round 4 and beyond, expect:

  • More running backs and tight ends to come off the board

  • Backup quarterbacks and developmental prospects

  • Special teams and depth pieces that quietly make rosters better

The stars might go in Round 1… but championships are built on Day 2 — and this year delivered.
