College Football Week 3 Picks, presented by Dr. Data

Heading into the weekend like:

Not going to lie, this college football slate it kinda gross but as John Adams once said, "Every problem is an opportunity in disguise." That is what we have here fellas....opportunity. If you really look at the board closely and long enough, you will slowly start to love it. Lets dive into some picks: and find some winners:

Wake Forest -14 @ Old Dominion

Wake comes into this game 2-0 with wins over Vandy and Elon. The demon Deacons have a balanced offense that averages 193 Yards per game on the ground and 262 YPG in the air. ODU defense concedes 141 YPG on the ground 272 YPG in the air. Wake forest strength in this game is their interior defense and commitment to stop the run, and the run game is ODU offense catalyst. Wake held Vandy to 109 yards rushing and Elon to 104 Yards rushing. ODU has to throw the ball and they have struggled the past two games to do so...averaging 170 ypg.

Florida State TT o37.5 @ Boston College

This is simply a better team playing a trash team. Florida State is going to run the ball down BC's throat. You will see the Jordan Travis Play action bomb downfield. Florida state offense is going to get a ton of touches because of the futility that is BC Offense, a team that lost to Northern Illinois and barely beat Holy Cross. 37.5 TT is too good to pass up

UMass @ Eastern Michigan Over 51.5

This is game is gross but we are betting the trend here. UMass overs are 3-0 this season. Umass scores points and they give up a ton of points. Eastern Mich gives up 405 YPG of offense while UMass averages 332 Yards of offense per game. UMass gives up 470 YPG of offense and Eastern Mich average 218 yards per game...this game might be the battle of of who tackles worse.

Notre dame TT o43.5 vs Central Michigan

I think Sam Hartman might have 4 touchdown passes at halftime. CMU give up up 386 yards in the air per game so far. CMU struggles to throw and rely on the run game, and Notre dame run defense is elite. Notre dame offense will have plenty of touches to cover this number.

Minnesota @ UNC -7.5

This game is going to come down to how well the gophers can run against the UNC front. UNC rush defense allows 108 YPG while Minnesota runs for 175 YPG. RB Omari Hampton and the UNC Offensive line are going to be a nightmare to contain, and the gophers need to worry about Drake May on the run as well. This game will be won in the trenches and UNC has the upper hand
