10 Fantasy Football Takeaways So Far

Well well well…it’s that time of the year where you are either, very happy with your fantasy team and consider yourself a guru of some sort, middle of the pack holding on for hope, or at the bottom of the barrel disappointed in yourself for listen to Field Yates.

Which one are you? Why do we even play fantasy? If having a team to drive up your blood pressure every week isn’t enough, your dumbass went ahead and created a fictional team to be mad about. Way to go idiot.

So now that I got that off my chest. I’m ready to give you my top 10 way too early takeaways for the 2022-2023 NFL season.

10. Don’t listen to the experts. If it don’t seem right, it ain’t! In my first year playing fantasy, I listened to the Matthew Berry’s of the world and took CJ Anderson with a first round pick, because I thought I had to take a runningback first. Not good.

9. The you knew you shouldn’t have drafted him guys. You had a few drinks, you ran out of time, and you took the guy you said you wouldn’t! Don’t do that again. Work around those guys.

8. Once hurt, always hurt. CMC & Kittle will miss games. Just accept that if you plan on drafting them.

7. The tight end position is a joke. Let’s just get rid of it for another flex spot. Taysom Hill is the third best tight end! Let that sit in. And before you mention all the great things he does, go and check where he was drafted at in your league.

6. Defense wins championship…kinda. I’m not saying take a defense high but boy it sure is nice to get 15 points from your defense and bail you out.

5. Drop him, he’s never turning it around! We’re all holding on to some scrub that we are holding out hope will turn things around. They won’t, I promise. Drop him asap and add a guy off waivers that can actually help you. Or throw him in a trade to help swing a real contributor.

4. The really good wideouts are really good! Kupp, Jefferson, Diggs, Samuels, Adams, Hill, Chase to name a few. If you took one or better yet two of these guys you’re in good hands.

3. Actual Mobile quarterbacks are still the way to go. Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson all are great players and have likely won you multiple games already. The qbs who either can’t run or forgot how to, haven’t been good in fantasy. Don’t take my word, ask anyone who’s drafted Brady, Stafford, Rodgers or Wilson.

2. Taking a running back in the first round is Russian roulette. Here is the current positional ranking for some of the top runningbacks going into this years draft: Jonathan Taylor (30th), Najee Harris (24th), Joe Mixon (18th), Alvin Kamara (36th), Ezekiel Elliott (21st), James Connor (41st), Cam Akers (55th), D’Andre Swift (27th), Aaron Jones (15th). DAMN!

  1. We know nothing.
