MLB playoffs, college football saturdays, three days a week of the NFL, and the return of the NHL/NBA. There's no better phrase in sports than "Game 7" but there's no better month in sports than October.
MLB playoffs got off to a hot start with the Mets losing in traditional fashion. As if blowing the NL east wasn't enough, a swift first round exit made it even sweeter. Play the trumpets!
NHL started back up with the Colorado Avalanche looking like a wagon as they prepare to defend their Cup title. NY Islanders extended Mat Barzal (most handsome man in hockey) to an 8 year deal. It's time for him to command the team and put together a big season in scoring.
I would get into talking about the start of the NBA but it's going to be another year hearing about Lebron so I'll end it there.
