Week 9 NFL Hot Takes

I want to start by saying the NFL should never schedule only two games for the 4 o'clock slate ever again, fuck that. Excluding the MNF game week 9 had a solid slate of games. Philly is a WAGON and probably winning the Super Bowl, just a complete team that is firing on all cylinders on both sides of the ball.

Getting into the 1 o'clock games lets do a quick QB comparison:

QB A: 22/28 206 Yards (7.4avg) 1TD, 0 INT, Sacked once 81.7 QBR, 109.2 Rating

QB 2: 14/20 155 Yards (7.8avg) 2 TDs, 0INT, Not Sacked, 83.2 QBR, 126.0 Rating

By the numbers, I would assume people would take QB 2....until I tell you that quarterback was Baker Mayfield. Baker came in late to relieve PJ Walker after 2 picks and the Bengals running up the score. Baker has always played great against Joe Brrrrrr, and some people (me) could argue Baker is better than Burrow who was carried by Joe Mixon (5 Total TDs). But the Panthers stink and are still 2-7. Baker looked confident and made some great reads to get the Panthers some 2nd half points, hope this gets him some confident back and he gets in a groove to finish the season.

You vs the guy she told you not to worry about ^^^

The Packers stinkkkkkk (sorry Uncle Tim). Losing their 5th straight game yesterday against the Detroit Lions and my BEST friend Jared Goff (will be writing a blog about our friendship later this week). Rodgers had 3 INTs and lead the team in rushing yards...really isnt much more to say about this game besides the redzone picks and not utilizing AJ Dillion and Aaron Jones on the goal line. Is Rodgers done or finished? Gonna have to say done. I imagine him and Devante Adams texting after games things like "I miss us :/"

Speaking of Devante Adams, he had himself a big day yesterday (10 rec, 146 yards, 2 TDs)....only for Derek Carr and the Raiders blow a 17 point lead and lose to the Jaguars. Raiders also have not won a road game this year...yikes!

J E T S JETS JETS JETS....beat the Buffalo Bills at home and they are legit contenders in the AFC. I don't think offensively they have enough to make a deep playoff run or win the AFC, but their defense is legit. Who needs the juice when you got the Sauceeeeee. Sauce Gardner has quickly proved he is an elite NFL cornerback, breaking up the 4th and 21 pass from Allen to ice the game as well as picking off Allen earlier in the game. Josh Allen looked to hurt his elbow towards the end of the game, have to hope its nothing serious because his rocket arm makes my pants feel weird.

Gonna wrap it up with Brady beating the Rams in what could've been a shootout but was a very lackluster offensive performance from both teams. But whatever his wife left him so who cares if he wins.
