Thought's And Prayer's To @AaronRodgers12

The much anticipated New York Jets debut for @AaronRodgers12, left the crowd of Metlife speechless, and not in a good way. The way Rodgers ran out onto the field with the American flag as the crowd paid tribute to 9/11 tragedy, get the crowd fired up.

After taking the field after a short series from #JoshAllen and the #Bills, Jet fans finally got their first official look at their future Hall of Fame QB, that is meant to lead them to a Super Bowl. Breece Hall took the first hand off for a 20+ yard gain, and the next few plays we saw the struggles the O-line faced and the questions that were brought up all of training camp....could they give Rodgers enough time. Boy could they not, in two passing attempts, the second of which Rodgers got tied up and spun around and that was when what appeared to be his Achilles pop happened.

I am not saying its the O-lines fault, or that Rodgers is 39 years old, the soaking wet turf, or a variety of other reasons this has happened. I am saying that this sucks. As a former Jets fan who disavowed them when Mark Sanchez ran into his offensive linemen and fumbled which is now remembered as the "Butt Fumble", the Jets are a cursed franchise. Some say the #NFL is scripted, but I don't think it is fair to say that with how quickly this happened. I think everyone, except Patriots and Packers fans were excited to see if Rodgers could finally get the Jets over the hump, but now here we are.

Saleh said Zach Wilson, the former No. 2 overall draft selection who replaced Rodgers on Monday, would be the Jets' starting quarterback going forward. Wilson, who has an 8-14 record as a starter, was demoted twice last season, prompting the Jets to acquire Rodgers in a blockbuster offseason trade with the Green Bay Packers.

Watching Zach Wilson wasn't great in his quick entrance into last night's game. He didnt even have time to tie his headband up before his first drive and just left it loosely wrapped around his neck. Peyton Manning had some choice words to describe Wilson during the coverage of #MNF on the ManningCast. Peyton said he forgot Wilson was on the team, and late in the third quarter Peyton said Wilson shouldn't have more than 3 more passing attempts this game. Despite the slander, and whirlwind of twitter(X) comments, Zach Wilson however was able to connect with Garret Wilson who made an unbelievable catch to tie the game at 13, with just under 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Wilson’s catch( which is an early candidate for catch of the year), the first touchdown of the game for the Jets, helped send Monday night’s game to overtime as both teams were tied 16-16 at the end of regulation. The Jets won the game in overtime, 22-16, on a 65-yard punt return touchdown by Xavier Gipson.

Thought's and Prayer's to Aaron Rodgers, who know maybe the MRI today will say it's just a high ankle sprain and he misses a month or two, because I hate to say it, but if its a torn Achilles you have to think it is very possible last night was the last time he steps on an NFL team. All time cover on the Jets ML bet too.
