The New York Jets Will Be Featured On HBO's "Hard Knocks"

The day Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets, the Jets became the clear #1 team to be featured on this season of HBO's "Hard Knocks". The Saints, Bears, and Commanders also fit the criteria. But those teams did not trade for four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason.

Jets coach Robert Saleh indicated earlier this summer that his team was not interested in welcoming HBO and NFL Films to document the club's run-up to the 2023 season. However, the NFL and NFL Films have selected the New York Jets to serve as this year's team on HBO's "Hard Knocks," sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday. The Jets last appeared on "Hard Knocks" in 2010.

"This is going to be an Aaron Rodgers suck fest" - anonymous, totally really co worker who sits next to me and is a Jets fan.

The Jets arguably make for the most entertaining team to be on Hard Knocks this season. Aaron Rodgers has been enjoying his summer in NYC, from sitting courtside at at Knicks and Rangers game, to seeing Taylor Swift back to back nights at MetLife Stadium. Then they have Sauce Gardner who is as entertaining off the field as he is on the field. We may even be lucky enough to see the contract dispute between All-Pro defensive tackle, Quinnen Williams play out.

Not only are the Jets looking to snap a 12-year streak of non-playoff seasons, but they've deemed themselves title contenders. With six different prime-time games on the 2023 schedule, they're poised to be one of the driving storylines of the NFL this year.

Last season's version of Hard Knocks was a fan favorite for many, featuring the Lions amid their push to turn around a brutal playoff drought and led by outspoken head coach Dan Campbell. While Jets head coach Robert Saleh is certainly willing to speak the truth often, he should have no problem providing some great moments for fans.

I wonder if A-Rod has been pushing psychedelics on his teammates, since he recently spoke at a conference on the benefits they have had on his career. 48 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, MVP season, guy might be onto something.
