Morgan Wallen Postpones The Next 6 Weeks Of His Concert Due To Vocal Cord Damage

Welp....my plans just freed up next Friday Night. Morgan Wallen was in the news recently due to cancelling a few shows last minute due to voice problems and everyone immediately assumed he was hungover.

Wallen’s “OneThingAt a Time” album is sitting atop the Billboard 200 album chart for a ninth consecutive week, while his current hit, “Last Night,” is also at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Wallen took to Twitter/Instagram to post a video with the following update “I went in and got scoped yesterday and they told me that I reinjured my vocal cords and that I have vocal fold trauma,” Wallen said in an Instagram video. “Their advice is that I go on vocal rest for six weeks, so that’s what I’m gonna do. They want me not to talk at all, but they said if I need to it’s ok for something like this"

A list of those postponed dates was not provided alongside Wallen's message to fans, but six weeks would mean all shows through June 20 will be affected.

Morgan Wallen Tour Dates Potentially Affected By Six-Week Vocal Rest:

May 18 — Hershey, Pa. @ Hersheypark Stadium May 19 — East Rutherford, N.J. @ MetLife Stadium May 20 — East Rutherford, N.J. @ MetLife Stadium May 24 — Austin, Texas @ Moody Center May 26 — Houston, Texas @ Minute Maid Park June 1 — Atlanta, Ga. @ Truist Park June 2 — Atlanta, Ga. @ Truist Park June 3 — Panama City Beach, Fla. @ Gulf Cost Jam June 8 — Virginia Beach, Va. @ Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach June 9 — Virginia Beach, Va. @ Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach June 10 — Myrtle Beach, S.C. @ Carolina Country Music Fest June 14 — Pittsburgh, Pa. @ PNC Park June 15 — Pittsburgh, Pa. @ PNC Park June 17 — Philadelphia, Pa. @ Citizens Bank Park

I was in the camp he was just hungover, and needed a few days off and people were mad because he did it on the first leg of the tour. But once you watch the video he posted on Twitter "https://twitter.com/MorganWallen/status/1655978720425803787?s=20", you can tell there was pain behind those eyes, brother! I couldn't even imagine not talking for 6 months, even though I'd love any excuse to not talk to my clients at hell sales job.

Hopefully he has a speedy recovery, and stays away from the sorority girls, don't need him pulling a Sam Darnold and getting mono.
