It's Time For The Browns To Hit The Panic Button

Man what a fucking way to lose a game last night. It was an ugly game all around, except for the defenses, the Browns running game (even after Nick Chubb got hurt), oh that only leaves the piss poor play of one DeShaun Watson. Just an overall perfectly executed way to lose a primetime game against a division rival who looked like dog shit week one. The only good thing about last night was the white jerseys, that shit was clean as fuck.

Let's start with the REALLY bad. #NickChubb is done for the season, and not to be too pessimistic, at his age, and the way the #NFL running back market is constructed, this could really alter his career. This is the second gruesome knee injury Chubb has had, first one dating back to his time playing at #Georgia. Losing Chubb is an absolute brutal loss, he is the heart and soul of the #Browns, the offense is centered behind him to carry the workload. I also think that hit was dirty.

This leads us to the Horny Man! Quarterback Deshaun Watson had an aggressive night against the Pittsburgh Steelers and appeared to get a little chippy with some of the opposing players, and one ref.

In the third quarter, Watson was flagged for unnecessary roughness for grabbing the facemask of Pittsburgh’s Kwon Alexander and holding onto it even after both players were out of bounds on the Steelers’ sideline. After the play, Watson lingered near the sideline and exchanged words with the Steelers. At that point the ref stepped in front of Watson and tried to direct him back to the field, and Watson shoved him to the side to continue jawing with Steelers players. In case you forgot, Deshaun isn't a stranger to wandering hands.

Although he wasn't ejected to shoving the ref, wouldn't be surprised if the league hands down some kind of fine, it's not like Watson can't afford it.

The pick-6 he threw in the opening play of the game I wont entirely put on him, hit off of Bryant's hands and bounced right to Pittsburghs defender. But the two fumbles, one on what should've been a 4th down conversion, and the other a strip sack, scoop, and score in your own territory when you're up 3 can not happen.

There are not more excuses, last season was supposed to get the rust off. He had a full off season training camp to prepare and be ready for a season they had assembled a team to potentially get back to the playoffs. Obviously it's still extremely early in the year, but this has to change soon if they want to consider Watson your QB of the future. I miss Baker.
