Welp....I guess thats why they call it gambling, am I right? Made a heavy play on Gonzaga as road dawgs (+120) as they went into Austin to face UTexas. Theres 4:16 left in the game with the bulldogs down 19, and I am NOT HAPPY!
Here are CMS we are all about plus signs and winners and right now the plus signs are equalling winners. Its distracting to even write this as I watch Texas throw down back to back alley oops. "Oops!" is a great way to describe taking Gonzaga tonight. About to be 0-2 betting the bulldogs as they continue to lose me money....and let me stop you right there, no thats not the reason I believe they are frauds to make another run to cut down the nets in March.
The past couple days I have heard about the depth Gonzaga has, how great Drew Timme is, the way they defend....blah blah blah. They got molly whopped by Texas tonight. The Longhorns shot absolutely lights out from 3, played phenomenal defense, crashed the boards, and had great production from their bench. Gonzaga looked rushed, lost at times, and when they did have any momentum, UT came right down the court and basically bukkaked the Zags with uncontested 3s. Oh and the Zags had 20 turnovers. Final horn just went off....93-74 Texas.
Lets also not forget how the Zags played against Michigan St last Friday. Escaping as 12 point favorites with a 1 point win. Timme led No. 2 Gonzaga in a spirited comeback from a 12-point deficit, finishing with 22 points and 13 rebounds as the Bulldogs beat Michigan State 64-63. I gave them a break as they battled back to win especially playing on a Naval Air Ship, when the sun was setting during the game and both teams had to shoot with the sun in their eyes. Both teams play in the same conditions so no excuses play like a champion. It was an ugly win nonetheless as the Spartans missed the game winning shot as time expired.
It's still very early in the season to believe Gonzaga are frauds, but after what I just watched the bulldogs are in trouble and better fucking clean it up. Texas is going to be a force the way they play defense and shoot the 3 ball. I will need to consult Dr Data and clean up our gambling plays and take it back to the basics. Well be back....hopefully so will Gonzaga.
